About Dr. Moya
Alexander P. Moya, M.D. is a board-certified plastic surgeon and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) and also the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
He received his B.S. in Biology at Virginia Tech and graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, completing his surgical training at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami and University of Utah.
Upon completion of his training, he joined Geisinger Health System (Danville, PA) in 2002, where he developed its weight loss body contouring program and later became Director of Geisinger’s Center for Aesthetic and Cosmetic Surgery. In April 2016, he ventured into private practice, joining Dr. Ernest Normington at Lewisburg Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, where his practice is dedicated solely to the cosmetic patient.
He has many years of experience in body contouring after weight loss, and created the Corset Body Lift® in 2006 for his weight loss patients. He has had the privilege of presenting this procedure at numerous plastic surgery symposiums over the years.
