Information for Our Out-of-town Patients

Dr. Moya, creator of the Corset Body Lift®, has earned a well-deserved reputation among his colleagues and patients for his unique approach to his aesthetic procedures, utilizing techniques and technologies which set him apart and provide not only excellent outcomes but also a more comfortable experience for his patients. Because of this, many of his weight loss patients have traveled from areas across the United States to seek his services in central Pennsylvania as they begin the final phase of their weight loss journey.

What are my consultation options with Dr. Moya?

Dr. Moya strives to keep things as simple and convenient as possible for his patients, offering two possible consultation options.

  1. An in-office personal consultation and examination – ideal if you do not mind additional travel, and prefer to meet with Dr. Moya in person to discuss your goals and options, undergo physical evaluation, view additional before-and-after photos, and tour the office. This will also allow you to get a better feel for the area prior to traveling for your surgery.
  2. A phone consultation with photo review – perhaps a better choice if you do not have the time to travel or do not wish to incur additional travel expenses, and are willing to share photos which depict your particular areas of concern.

Regardless of the consultation option you choose, you will still be able to reserve your preferred surgical date. Should you undergo a phone consultation, we will send you all of the necessary information and forms to complete, as well as make arrangements to obtain all of the proper medical information and clearances. We will also make plans for you to undergo your pre-surgical examination 1-2 days prior to your scheduled procedure, at which time we will also be able to thoroughly review all of the information and answer any and all questions you might have.

I came from Chattanooga , TN to have a thigh lift with liposuction, and breast augmentation/lift with Dr.Moya. I’m only 11 days postop, but so pleased already with my results. Dr Moya has done my arms, corset body lift, and butt lift back in 2007-2008 and I still look great! I am a former gastric bypass patient and lost 180 lbs…he gave me my hourglass figure back. I had such a happy pleasant experience with his whole staff!! Can’t say enough!

Where will my surgery be performed?

Dr. Moya performs many of his surgical procedures in one of the operating suites within the fully-accredited ambulatory surgical center at Lewisburg Plastic Surgery. For more extensive procedures (i.e. those which require more than four hours of operative time, such as body lifts or combination contouring procedures), Dr. Moya utilizes his staff privileges at Evangelical Community Hospital, a small, private hospital with state-of-the-art operating rooms, located only one block from his office.

How long should I plan to be in Lewisburg?

You should generally expect to stay in the Lewisburg area for 2-5 days. This will, of course, depend on your particular procedure and its associated recovery process, as well as the extent of your travel back home after surgery. Dr. Moya will be happy to assist you in determining a plan that will work best for you.

If your procedure is to be performed in the hospital, you will most likely need to be there early on the morning of your surgery. If you live more than two hours away, in order to avoid stressful morning travel, you should plan on arriving in the Lewisburg area at least one day prior to your surgery. In addition, for those undergoing a full day of surgery, an overnight hospital stay after your procedure is often recommended (and is included as part of your cosmetic package), for both comfort and safety. Dr. Moya will then see you at your bedside first thing the next morning prior to your discharge. Your first complete post-operative evaluation will be conducted during your stay in Lewisburg, with arrangements made for future office visits at your convenience.

Your health and safety are very important to Dr. Moya; thus, he is always available to address any concerns or questions you might have both during your stay and following your return home. He understands, too, that sometimes you may simply need reassurance that all is going as expected.

How are post-operative evaluations handled for Dr. Moya’s out-of-town patients?

With the exception of the initial postoperative evaluation in Lewisburg within the first few days after surgery, follow-up with his out-of-town patients can usually be performed via telephone or email, thereby avoiding additional travel or expense. Arrangements for an in-office follow-up at some point during the following year can then be made at your convenience.
